  Research Interests:

  1. Plant stress mechanism and regulation: We are working on plant (mainly wheat and rice) stress physiology and molecular biology, in which the cellular and molecular mechanism, signaling control, as well as the cloning and mapping of stress tolerance related genes are addressed to be deeply investigated. Our studies are particularly focusing on ROS signaling and its related regulatory key genes such as in NOX, NADK, and HOX families by employing the approaches including map-based gene cloning, transgenic system, and T-DAN insertion methods.

  2. Agricultural biosafety and Environmental remediation: We are also interested in photosynthetic apparatus assembly and photosynthetic efficiency of plants under stress conditions such as drought and extreme light intensity. The issue of solar energy by photosynthesis is specifically paid attentions, too. Meanwhile, we are working on the study of agricultural transgenic biosafety and environmental remediations for plants.
