一、培养目标体系
I. Objectives  
  (1)基本培养目标
  General Objectives
  培养的学生身心健康、知识结构合理,有健全的人格、高尚的人文情怀和社会责任感,有一定的批判思维与创新能力、科学研究能力、语言文字表达能力、终身学习能力和组织管理能力,具有国际视野和团队合作精神。
  Students are nurtured to be both physically and psychologically healthy. They are expected to have a wholesome personality, a value for humanistic pursuits, and a sense of social responsibility, as well as the ability to think critically and innovatively, good writing and communication skills, an orientation towards life-long learning, and a proficiency in organization and management. Moreover, they should have an international mindset and be able to work well in a team context.
    (2)专业培养目标
  Major-specific Objectives
  掌握现代生物学的基本理论和基本技能,在生物化学与分子生物学、基因工程、生物信息学分析等方面获得系统的理论和实践技能训练,具备基本的科研思维能力,了解生物技术及其产业的国内外发展动态,成为在生命科学领域从事科学研究、技术研发,以及教学与管理等方面的复合型和创新型人才。注重科研素质和创新能力的培养,为培养21世纪生命科学与技术领域的学术精英或技术领军人才奠定坚实的基础。
  Students in this major are nurtured to grasp the theory and skills of modern biology,understand the developments of modern biotechnology and bio-industry, obtain comprehensive training in biotechnological theory and practice skills, such as biochemistry and molecular biology, gene engineering and bioinformatics etc. Students obtain the fundamental quality of scientific thinking. Graduates are expected to be innovative talents in scientific research, technology development, as well as teaching and management in the field of life sciences. The major pay more attention to the cultivation of quality of scientific research and innovative potentials, they are expected to become the academic elites or leading talent in the field of biotechnology. 
二、基本要求
  1.毕业生应掌握的基本知识(Graduates are required to acquire)
  (1)毕业生应掌握的基本知识
   (1) Basic knowledge
  A1 掌握历史、哲学、文学、艺术等领域的基本知识,具有正确的历史观、世界观、人生观、价值观和审美观;
  A1 To equip students with basic knowledge of the arts and humanities, which includes history, philosophy, literature and art; to train students to understand different perspectives of history, the world, life, values and aesthetics.
  A2 掌握社会科学的基本知识,具有人文情怀和社会责任感;
  A2 To equip students with basic research skills, a value for culture and society, and an understanding of social responsibilities. 
  A3 掌握数学、物理、化学基础知识和基本实验技能;
  A3 To train students in basic mathematics, physics and chemistry, as well as basic experimental skills.
  A4掌握现代信息技术的基本知识,具备现代网络与信息处理的基本技术和能力;
    A4 To enable students to use modern information technologies regarding the modern networks and information processing. 
  A5掌握自然环境与社会发展、经济管理与社会科学、科技发展与文明传承、文明对话与国际视野等方面的基本知识。
  A5 To provide students with a basic understanding of the natural world, economics, civilization, sociology, etc.
 (2)毕业生应掌握的专业知识
    A6  掌握植物学、动物学、微生物学、生物化学、遗传学、细胞生物学、分子生物学等生物学基础学科相关的基础理论和基本知识,
  A6 To have a solid basic theory and basic knowledge of biology-based courses, including botany, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, etc. 
    A7  掌握现代生物技术包括基因工程、细胞工程、酶工程、发酵工程、生物信息学等相关学科的专业理论知识。
  A7  Grasp theory of modern biotechnology such as gene engineering,cell engineering,enzyme engineering,fermentation engineering,and bioinformatics etc.
  A8 掌握生物大分子研究、生物信息学分析与应用等相关的专业技能知识。
  A8 Grasp the practice skills in bio-macromolecules and bioinformatics.
  A9 掌握现代生物技术及其重要分支学科、交叉学科的理论前沿和发展动态。
  A9 To master the basic theories, technologies and developments of biotechnology and the related branches.

  (2) Major-specific abilities required for graduates include:
  B6 具备扎实的生物学基本实验技能; 
  B6 To have a solid basic experimental biology skills.
  B7 具备运用现代技术对生物大分子进行分离纯化、检测分析和分子(基因)操作的能力;熟悉生物学、生化及分子生物学、遗传学、微生物学等现代生物科学主干学科的理论框架及技术体系。
  B7 To have the ability for purification of bio-macromolecules, as well as related detection analysis and genetic operation. Be familiar with the theory and techniques systems of the main course, such as biology, biochemistry and molecular biology /genetics, microbiology, etc.
  B8 具备生物学实验设计、论文写作和学术交流的能力;
    B8 To have the ability for biological experiment design, paper writing and academic exchanges. 
  B9  具备应用现代信息技术进行资料查询、文献检索和数据分析的能力;
  B9 To have the ability for data inquiry, literature search and data analysis by using of modern information technology.
  B10 具备阅读英文专业文献、英文写作以及国际交流、竞争与合作的能力; 
  B10 To have the ability for reading professional literatures and writing papers in English, as well as the international exchanges, competition and cooperation.
  B11 具备在生物学领域继续深造,攻读硕士学位,以及终身学习的能力;
  B11 To have the ability for further studies and master's degree in the field of biology, as well life-long learning ability. 
  B12 具备运用掌握的专业知识和技能在相关领域从事科学研究、技术开发及教学与管理工作的能力。

五、实践教学环节

  实践教学包括军事训练、生产劳动、两课实践、社会实践、课程实习、工程训练、生物化学综合大实验、分子生物学综合实验、蛋白质纯化综合大实验、基因工程技术、、毕业论文(设计)等。
  Including: Military training and State Defense Education, Physical Work, Social Practice, Practice of Ideological and Political Theory, Engineering Training, , Comprehensive Experiment of Biochemistry, Comprehensive Experiment of Molecular Biology, Comprehensive Experiment of Protein Purification, Genetic Engineering Techniques, Comprehensive Experiment of microscope technique, and Graduation Thesis (Design).

  IX. Graduation Requirements
  毕业额定学分:160学分(课内)+8学分(课外)。
  Minimum credits for graduation:160 credits (curricular)+8credits (extracurricular).
  课内:必修课85学分,选修课46学分,实践教学环节29学分。
  Curricular: 85 credits for compulsory courses, 46 for elective courses, and 29 for hands-on experience.
  课外:素质与能力拓展8学分。
  Extracurricular: 8 credits for innovation and skill development.
  取得额定学分,方可准予毕业。
  Minimum credits are required for graduation.
