一、培养目标体系

  (1)基本培养目标
   培养的学生身心健康、知识结构合理,有健全的人格、高尚的人文情怀和社会责任感,有一定的批判思维与创新能力、科学研究能力、语言文字表达能力、终身学习能力和组织管理能力,具有国际视野和团队合作精神。
  Students are nurtured to be both physically and psychologically healthy. They are expected to have a wholesome personality, a value for humanistic pursuits, and a sense of social responsibility, as well as the ability to think critically and innovatively, good writing and communication skills, an orientation towards life-long learning, and a proficiency in organization and management. Moreover, they should have an international mindset and be able to work well in a team context.

   (2) Major-specific Objectives
   本专业以掌握现代生命科学理论和技术为核心,培养具有扎实生物学基础理论、基本知识和基本技能,了解现代生命科学与技术发展动态,在现代生物学研究方法、实验技术和科学思维等方面受到良好训练,在生命科学领域从事科学研究、技术研发、以及教学与管理工作的创新型人才。注重学生科研素质和创新能力培养,为其成为生命科学领域的学术精英或技术领军人才奠定坚实的基础。
To master modern science and technology as the core theory, students in this major are nurtured to have the soild theoretical foundations and basic skills of biology, understand the developments of modern life science and technology, train well on the aspects of modern biology research methods, experimental techniques and scientific thinking, etc. They are expected to be engaged in scientific research, technology development, as well as teaching and management in the field of life sciences. By paying more attention to the cultivation of quality of scientific research and innovative ability, they are expected to become the academic or technical leaders in the field of life sciences.

   (1) Basic knowledge
   A1 掌握历史、哲学、文学、艺术等领域的基本知识,具有正确的历史观、世界观、人生观、价值观和审美观;
   A1 To equip students with basic knowledge of the arts and humanities, which includes history, philosophy, literature and art; to train students to understand different perspectives of history, the world, life, values and aesthetics.
   A2 掌握社会科学的基本知识,具有人文情怀和社会责任感;
   A2 To equip students with basic research skills, a value for culture and society, and an understanding of social responsibilities. 
   A3 掌握数学、物理、化学基础知识和基本实验技能;
   A3 To train students in basic mathematics, physics and chemistry, as well as basic experimental skills.
   A4掌握现代信息技术的基本知识,具备现代网络与信息处理的基本技术和能力;

   A6 具备扎实的植物学、动物学、微生物学、生物化学、遗传学、细胞生物学、分子生物学等生物学基础课程的基础理论和基本知识;
   A6 To have a solid basic theory and basic knowledge of biology-based courses, including botany, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, etc. 
   A7掌握生物科学相关分支学科的基础理论、技术和研究进展;

   A8掌握现代生物科学基础研究、应用研究和技术研发等方面的知识和技术;

   B6 具备扎实的生物学基本实验技能; 
   B6 To have a solid basic experimental biology skills.
   B7具备运用现代技术对核酸、蛋白质等生物大分子进行分离纯化、检测分析和分子(基因)操作的能力; 
   B7 To have the ability to isolate and purify the nucleic acids, proteins and other biological macromolecules, as well as their detecting analysis and genetic operation by using modern technology.
   B8 具备生物学实验设计、论文写作和学术交流的能力;
   B8 To have the ability for biological experiment design, writing papers and academic exchanges. 
   B9具备应用现代信息技术进行资料查询、文献检索和数据分析的能力;
   B9 To have the ability for data inquiry, literature search and data analysis by using of modern information technology.
   B10具备阅读英文专业文献、英文写作以及国际交流、竞争与合作的能力; 
   B10 To have the ability for reading professional literatures and writing papers in English, as well as the international exchanges, competition and cooperation.
   B11具备在生物学领域继续深造,攻读硕士学位,以及终身学习的能力;
   B11 To have the ability for further studies and master's degree in the field of biology, as well life-long learning ability. 
   B12具备运用掌握的专业知识和技能在相关领域从事科学研究、技术开发及教学与管理工作的能力。

二、基本要求
II. Basic Requirements
   中文
   本专业学生主要学习并掌握数理化基础、生物科学基本理论及基本知识与技能,了解现代生命科学的前沿进展,受到从事基础研究、应用基础研究和技术开发等方面的科学思维和实践技能的系统训练,具备良好的人文道德、科学素质和国际化视野,以及进行生物学教学、科研、开发和管理的基本能力。
   Students in this major mainly learn and master the basic mathematics, physics and chemistry, the basic theory and basic knowledge and skills of biological science, as well as understand the frontier progress of modern life sciences. After the systematic training of scientific thinking and practical skills on basic research, applied basic research and technology development and other aspects, they have a good human ethics, scientific quality and international perspective, as well as the basic ability to carry out biology teaching, research, development and management.
   本专业毕业生应获得以下几方面的知识和能力:
   The graduates should acquire the following knowledge and abilities:
   1. 具备良好的职业道德、高度社会责任感和丰富的人文科学素养;

   2. 掌握数学、物理、化学等方面的基本理论和基本知识;

   3. 掌握植物学、动物学、微生物学、生物化学、遗传学、细胞生物学、分子生物学及相关分支学科的基本理论、基本知识和实验技能;
   3. Master the basic theory, knowledge and practical skills on botany, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, molecular biology and related branches. 
   4、熟悉国家知识产权等有关政策和法规;
   4. Familiar with the national intellectual property and other relevant policies and regulations.
   6、了解生物科学的理论前沿、应用前景和现代生命科学的发展动态;
   6. Understanding the theoretical frontiers and applied prospects of biological sciences, as well as the developments of modern life sciences.
   7、具备一定的实验设计和科学研究以及科研论文的撰写和参与学术交流的能力。

   8、掌握一门外语,并能阅读专业文献;具有一定的国际视野和初步的交流、竞争与合作能力。

   Including: Military Training and State Defense Education, Physical Work, Social Practice, Practice of Ideological and Political Theory, Engineering Training, Biology Internship, Comprehensive Experiment of Biochemistry, Comprehensive Experiment of Molecular Biology, Comprehensive Experiment of Protein Purification, Gene Engineering Techniques, Comprehensive Experiment of Microtechnique, Ecology Internship, and Graduation Thesis (Design).

   毕业额定学分:160学分(课内)+ 8学分(课外)。
   Minimum credits for graduation: 160 credits (curricular) + 8 credits (extracurricular).
   课内:必修课85学分,选修课47学分,实践教学环节28学分。
   Curricular: xx credits for compulsory courses, xx for elective courses, and xx for hands-on experience.
   课外:素质与能力拓展8学分。
   Extracurricular: 8 credits for innovation and skill development.
   取得额定学分,方可准予毕业。
   Minimum credits are required for graduation.
